On behalf of an Australia Indonesia Partnership, URS managed the largest road improvement project in Indonesia. For a ten-year program funded by the governments of Vietnam and Australia, we worked with communities and local agencies to institute participatory governance and improve roads, wells, irrigation canals and other infrastructure in Quang Ngai Province. We also assisted in a community development and resource assessment plan for a program that provided environmental rehabilitation as well as alleviated poverty in the karst mountain area of Xincheng, China. The program was jointly funded by the Chinese and Australian governments.
